We take current trends with Legend pick rates, compare to the users playstyle and needs for their particular squad comp to make good recommendations. Limitations include the fact that Apex is heavily updated and a changing game, our tool may not stay up to date with the shifting legend "metas", but as long as there's plentiful public information for our engine to scour, our tool will always make a great pick for your squad.

The Tool Collective team were absolute Apex addicts especially early on the games life. There's not many shooters/BR games out there that bring what Apex can to the table. So, for our first Apex tool we decided to make this to help out any fresh players struggling to fit into current play styles, or for those who need a bit of insight for the constantly changing conditions in game.
Made with The Tool Collectives signature model. We layout all factors required to make the best possible decision for this particular question and construct the inputs and choices accordingly. We then build a custom system prompt that incorporates logic if needed and clear output criteria. We then use an AI engine to power the tool, resulting in expert human crafted responses, designed by real enthusiasts.
"My name is Jacob P. and I am the founder and owner of The Tool Collective and a jack of all trades with a deep passion for the outdoors, tech, entertainment, and more. I built a system that combines expert/enthusiast knoweldge and the power of LLM's to create tools (calculators, advisors, buying decision advisors, etc.) that go beyond standard AI chat engines and are incredibly unique/niche/useful. We incorporate our knoweldge to code precise instructions and logic in the backend of every tool we publish. This results in a tool that combines the power and broad resource knoweldge of modern LLM's and human craftmenship that you can trust.
Here's how it works,
Every tools inputs and input options are precisely chosen by the human creator, we then create a system prompt which is the guiding instruction of the specific tool, this outlines the question at hand, and establishes the proper voice, output format, and other key pieces we need the LLM to produce, within the system prompt we also include any necessary logic parameters which is crucial for keeping output quality high, and reducing any errors, inaccuracies, or simply illogical or non-expert approved outputs. For example, if we notice the tool producing a product recommendation that the expert wouldn't recommend themselves given the users input choices, we explicitly state in the backend of the tool (if user selects "X", only recommend "Y"). This is what allows us to stay in control of the LLM and keep quality much higher than if the users were to go ask an LLM the same question we are solving with our tools. Lastly, the input design is crucial as we can ensure the users are taking into account every variable that influences the specific question at hand.
The tools are the heart and soul of the platform, but I have a much larger vision. The term "Collective" in our name was chosen meaningfully as we intend to make this not only a site full of broad and niche tools, but a site where people of all walks of life, all passions and interests, can contribute their knowledge by creating new and inventive tools, and creating content focused around sharing their knowledge, expertise, and experiences with the world, there is no limit. Potentially allowing you to pursue your passion in full and make a living doing so here at The Tool Collective. Thus escaping the stress and unhappiness of everyday career pursuits, and putting their full time into whatever they are passionate about.
